• Golden Age s.XIV-XVI
  Golden age of Guadalajara where it was ruled by the Duques of Infantado. Large dynasty which has his origin in the help of Diego Hurtado de Mendoza. A Castilian nobleman who did a remarkable job in fighting the Arabs, being in the battle of Aljubarrota hand of King Juan I of Castile. He was appointed Admiral of Castille and first member of the lineage of the Mendoza who obtained the title of Infantado´s Duke with the Catholic Monarchs, being the beginning of the glorious era of the city.
